Kuto started out as cartoonist in the” Diario Color de Concepción”; meanwhile studying Architecture. He also, published cartoons and illustrations in other national newspapers and magazines. During the military coup of Pinochet, he left Chile and later returned to Santiago to complete his career During this spell he started to publish cartoons in the mythic sports magazine “estadio” His life was threatened and he was forced to flee the country. |

He arrives to Spain in 1977, and works in design and publicity. As soon as possible he begins to collaborate in television and various publications with graphic political opinions, cartoons, illustrations and jazz reviews. Parallel
to this, he paints! One of his favourite themes being Jazz. With the
signature Lopomo he has paintings in several
countries: Spain, France, England, Japan.
Finally,
he has designed a personal work of art to be shared with you.. The
marvellous packs of playing cards: The Greatest of Jazz
and The Classics
